Report: OnStar accidentally confirms 2014 Chevrolet SS, Cadillac ELR for 2013

A couple of days ago, its was reported that General Motors trademarked ‘SS’ for a new vehicle. The news led to speculation that the Detroit automaker will be coming out with a downright mean performance sedan for the Chevrolet brand that would fill the void left by the Pontiac G8 GXP.

A sharp-eyed individual by the name of Christopher Price has now come across some interesting details.

While browsing OnStar’s RemoteLink website, Price noticed that the company had listed some GM vehicles that we’ve all heard rumors about – the Chevrolet SS being one of them. According to Price’s discovery, the Chevrolet SS will debut in 2013 as a 2014 model year vehicle.

Also on the list was (we say was because OnStar has since removed these vehicles from the list) the much-anticipated Cadillac ELR. The site showed that the Cadillac ELR will also debut in 2013 as a 2014 model year. GM has already confirmed that the Cadillac ELR will be produced but never confirmed its release date.

Stay tuned for more details.
