Shelby joins forces with David Yurman for wristwatch line, only 300 will be made

David Yurman - Shelby Watch

Jewelry and timepiece designer David Yurman has been sought out by Carroll Shelby to create a special limited edition watch for the Limited Edition Shelby 1000, which debuted at this year’s New York Auto Show.

“Shelby and David Yurman are among the most respected American brands in their industries,” said Tracey Smith, president of Carroll Shelby Licensing. “Just like the cars that created the Shelby American legend, David Yurman creates handcrafted jewelry and timepieces that are equally valued by collectors and enthusiasts. The Yurman watch and eyewear perfectly complement the exclusive Shelby 1000 vehicle. It beautifully demonstrates the innovation of both brands that deliver unique and distinctive time-honored products.”

The watch features a bezel engraved with a tachymeter that records lap times, a hand-finished Shelby Cobra logo on the dial, and guilloche racing stripes. Natural rubber makes up the band, which comes heavily textured with a snake belly-inspired pattern. Also, on the back of the watch is Carroll Shelby’s signature.

A total of 300 watches will be made, 150 of which will be stainless steel, and 150 will be black PVD, both of which can be purchased through a David Yurman retal or online store, or at any authorized retailer.
