2012 Beijing: 600-hp Eterniti Artemis goes on sale later this year

Eterniti Motors is finally making the official auto show debut of its super-SUV – the Artemis. Previously known to us as the Hemera, the London-based luxury car maker is showing the prototype of its first car at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show this week

The vehicles on display are in-use, running prototypes so do not represent the final finish quality but do closely reflect the definitive interior and exterior styling.

Eterniti says that its Artemis will be the first luxury super-suv on the market with deliveries to start in fall of 2012. They are pretty excited about beating Bentley, Lamborghini and Maserat – all of which are working on a luxury SUV offering.

Power comes from a 4.8 liter twin-turbo V8 engine making 600-hp with a peak torque of 553 lb-ft. That allows for a 0 to 62 mph time of 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 180 mph.

Eterniti says that F1 Grand Prix winner Johnny Herbert has been playing an ongoing role in product development and is the first ambassador for the brand.

Prices should start around £210,000 ($276,627 USD).

If you think the Eterniti Artemis is based on the Porsche Cayenne, you’re probably onto something.
