Lamborghini Aventador hot dog cart hangs out in midtown to promote 2012 New York Auto Show

To promote the 2012 New York Auto Show to city folks, the show organizers decided to attract some attention by parking a Lamborghini Aventador Hot Dog Cart in midtown that gave away free Sabrett hot dogs.

One ironic thing about this picture is that the actual says ‘keep parks clean’ and the Lamborghini is far from offering any sort of concern for mother nature. Why? Besides just massive amounts of CO2 emissions the Aventador averages just 11/17 mpg (city/highway) or 13 mpg combined.

Does it really matter to us? Not really – don’t get me wrong we’re all about saving the world – but we’re also about high-revving V12 motors.

Refresher: The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 will be powered by a 6.5L V12 engine making 690-hp and 509 lb-ft of torque. Mated to the company’s new ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) 7-speed transmission, 0 to 60 mph will come in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph. The Aventador is an all-wheel-drive supercar courtesy of Lamborghini’s Haldex 4-wheel drive system.
