Report: Honda Accord sales have been very unsatisfactory
So here’s a piece of news that’s not very surprising. With some wonderful mid-sized sedans out on the market like the Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry, Kia Optima and other, Honda Accord sales have been ‘not satisfactory.’ In the United States, Honda sold just 26,771 units of the Accord last month, down from 31,533 units a year ago.
Through March, sales of the Honda Accord have dropped 8 percent to 61,132.

“We are not satisfied with that,” said American Honda President and Chief Executive Tetsuo Iwamura. The drop in sales have dropped Honda’s share of the U.S. light vehicle sales market by 9.2 percent from 10.1 percent in the first quarter of 2011.
Honda is expected to debut a new Accord sedan later this year.
