2012 New York: 2013 Shelby 1000 will cost you $200,000
Shelby brought its biggest powerhouse to date to the 2012 New York Auto Show today, packing an amazing 1,100-hp under its scooped hood.
Starting out as a 2012 Ford Shelby GT500, the model’s 5.4-liter V8 gets a new supercharger, rods, crank and pistons, and an upgraded cooling and exhaust system. Two versions of the Shelby 1000 are offered, including a street legal 950-hp version and an S/C edition for the track with over 1,100-hp.
The mean-looking model is set for limited production with numbering and documentation for each one that rolls off the line, with the final product bearing a $200,000 price tag.
