Video: 1,602-hp AMS Nissan GT-R runs a 8.63 second quarter mile
If you have the money (and we mean lots of it) and want to purchase the world’s fastest car – you’re most likely to call up Bugatti and schedule a private meeting to check out the Veyron.
However, if you’re the type that wants a very fast car and doesn’t want to lay down more than $1.5 million, there are other cars available – like the Nissan GT-R. But when you get AMS Performance involved in the mix, you can purchase a Nissan GT-R that is dyno’ed at 1,602-hp at the wheels with a peak torque of 1,152 lb-ft.

AMS recently ran its GT-R at the Txas Mile event in October and hit a top speed of 217 mph. Following that, the tuner took its super GT-R to the drag strip where it returned a quarter-mile run of 8.62 seconds at 173.8 mph on the first run.
