If you haven’t had the chance to sit down and watch CBS’s 60 Minute special on Chrysler/Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne, here’s a reason to take a quick look. According to the sharp-eyed guys at Allpar.com, the successor to the Barracuda could have been lurking in the background during a part of the special that showed Steve Kroft interviewing the company’s head of design Ralph Gilles.
About 10 minutes into the segment, behind Gilles stands an unidentified red coupe. The mystery car is being called the successor to the much-rumored Barracuda, which is hinted to become a part of the new SRT brand, which Gilles also runs.
When asked by Automotive News if the speculation can is correct, a Chrysler spokesman said that the car “is just one of the many concepts and projects in our studios. That one is a student model.”
You can check out the special for yourself after the jump.
