The Volkswagen Tiguan is long overdue for a redesign and if you wait a little longer, the redesign is on its way. According to Germany publication Auto Motor und Sport, the redesigned Tiguan will be based on V-Dub’s new MQB platform and will be available in three different body styles.
While the standard Volkswagen Tiguan will be available in the same size, the company is planning two other versions including a coupe and an extended-length version.

The extended-length version is obviously going to be focused for the United States market and is rumored to be 22 inches longer than the standard Tiguan.
No word one powertrian options but a plug-in hybrid variant may be a part of the game.
