Report: 2013 Subaru BRZ hits 0 to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds during Motor Trend test

Following Inside Line’s somewhat disappointing performance figures on their test of the new 2013 Subaru BRZ, the guys over at Motor Trend have released their numbers that seem to be a little more impressive. Testing out the 6-speed manual BRZ, Inside Line said that they recorded a 0 to 60 mph time of 7.3 seconds (7 seconds if you take into account a 1-foot roll out) and a quarter mile run of 15.3 seconds at 92.1 mph.

Motor Trend returns something better with a 0 to 60 mph time of 6.4 seconds with a quarter mile run in 14.9 seconds at 95.5 mph.

I wish Subaru will just release their own official results already.

Refresher: The 2013 Subaru BRZ is powered by a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder boxer engine making 200-hp at 7,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 151 lb-ft at 6,600 rpm. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.
