Still no confirmed date for Chevrolet Colorado’s stateside debut, new Silverado due next year

In October if 2011, General Motors finally took the wraps off of the highly-anticipated 2012 Chevrolet Colorado in Thailand. It later confirmed that the new Colorado will be coming to the United States but it never specified a date.

However, since GM confirmed that the new Colorado will come to the United States, many have been speculating on when the truck will arrive – well, according to Tom Wilkinson, Chevrolet Trucks communications manager, all those speculations are wrong.

Wilkinson said that GM never gave a timeline for the new Colorado’s American debut and still has no plans to say when the truck will come stateside.

“There’s been plenty of speculation in the media, and we have never confirmed any questions related to the scheduling of its release. If anyone says they know the date, they’re wrong,” Wilkinson told CARandDRIVER.

Seeing as the new Chevrolet Silverado is due sometime next year, it’s safe to assume that we’ll see the new Colorado in the U.S. around that time.
