Mercedes-Benz is currently producing a new G65 AMG wagon with an awesome amount of power from a different engine then its predecessors.

Pushing an impressive 612-hp out of the factory and 738 lb-ft of torque, the engine is 6.0-liter twin-tubro V12, the same motor that will be powering the S, CL and SL-Class models. Transferring the power will likely be the Speedshift Plus 7G Tronic transmission to help handle all the horsepower.

Cost for the next G65 AMG is expected to be roughly $290,000, which will include upgraded breaks and aerodynamic extras. Along with the G65 AMG is the G63 AMG, which will be powered by a 5.5-liter twin turbo V8 motor that produces 536 hp.

The face lifted Mercedes-Benz G-Class will debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show next month.
