Infiniti to build a limited 200 units of the FX Sebastian Vettel Version, not coming to U.S.

Infiniti confirmed today that the FX Sebastian Vettel version, shown in concept form at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, will enter a strictly limited production run of 200 units. Sadly, none of the 200 units will come to the stateside and will be allocated for the Europe and Middle East regions.

“Although no price is available yet, it will also be the most expensive,” Infiniti said in a statement – and we definitely expected it to be.

The Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel Editino was created from a partnership between Sebastian Vettel himself and Infiniti’s Chief Creative Officer, Shiro Nakamura.

Customers can reserve a model now and expect to take deliveries starting early 2013.

Refresher: The Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel Version weighs 101 pounds less than a standard FX50S Premium. Power comes from the same 5.0 V8  in the FX50S Premium – but that has been upgraded to make an extra 32-hp for a total of 414-hp. That gives the Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel Edition the ability to go from 0 to 62 mph in 5.6 seconds with a top speed of 186 mph.
