2012 Geneva: 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG commands attention with bright red leather

Originally unveiled in Barcelona, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG made its auto show circuit debut today at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

The model is already commanding a lot attention from media visiting the stand, but the new A-Class hatchback is stealing most of the spotlight – which is a bit interesting to a sports car fan like me.

Either way, here are the pics from the show for you to enjoy.

Refresher: Power for the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG comes from a twin-turbo 5.5 liter direct-injected V8 engine making 530-hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The output is directed to the rear whees through an AMG Speed shift MCT 7-speed sports transmission, allowing the 2013 SL63 AMG to go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. The optional AMG Performance Package increases output to 557-hp and 664 lb-ft of torque – dropping the 0 to 60 mph down by 0.1 second and top speed jumps to 186 mph.
