2012 Geneva: 2013 Ford B-MAX shows off its sliding doors, first car in Europe to get SYNC
The 2013 Ford B-MAX has made its public debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and is already gathering a lot of attention with its unique design that allows easy access to get in and out of the compact MPV.
Known as the Ford Easy Access Door System, the feature allows for an unobstructed entry and exit with hinged front doors and sliding rear doors integrating the central body pillars.
“The Ford B-MAX really challenges traditional small car thinking, and pioneers a concept not attempted by any other manufacturers,” said Stephen Odell, chairman and CEO, Ford of Europe. “Its ingenious design opens the doors – quite literally – to exciting new ideas about what’s possible with a compact vehicle.”
The 2013 Ford B-MAX will be available with low CO2 emissions gasoline and diesel engines. it will also be the first European car to offer the SYNC system.
