Melkus RS 2000 Black Edition is a pretty stealthy looking
Melkus, German specialty sports car makers, recently released details on its new RS2000 Black Edition.
The Black Edition is, if you haven’t already guessed, coated in black paint on the outside. This is not your standard paint job, however, as Melkus opted for six coats over the standard three, which gives a striking effect. Also added to the outside is a full carbon sport body kit, the same as used on the RS2000 GTS model.
Power is made from the standard RS2000 motor, which is a 2.0-liter turbo that makes 300hp mated to a 6-speed gearbox, but the Black Edition gets an extra 25hp (total of 325-hp) and beefed-up breaks. The Black Edition has a 0-62mph time of 4.5 seconds and a 168mph top speed.
For the interior, Melkus added black leather seats with “Black Edition” embroidery for the headrests, piano lacquer and carbon accents, and Alcantara for the roof headliner, along with an infotainment and navigation system.
The Melkus RS2000 Black Edition comes with a price tag of around $202,000 USD.
