256-hp Citroen DS4 Racing Concept shows itself before Geneva

We don’t mean to tease you early in the morning – but here is another hot Euro hatchback that we’ll never get in the United States. Citroen has dropped the first official pictures of the new DS4 Racing Concept before its 2012 Geneva Motor Show debut next month.

Citroen says that the DS4 Racing Concept features 100 percent racing attributes. The hatchback features a chassis that has been lowered by 35 mm than the regular model and a track that is 55 mm wider at the front and 75 mm wider at the back.

Power does from a re-worked 1.6 liter turbo engine that makes a whopping 256-hp. That should offer some spectacular performance. Stopping power comes from four-pot, fixed calliper brakes at the front, with special discs widened to 380 mm in diameter, and shod with larger, 19-inch wheels (235/40).

Visually, the Citroen DS4 Racing Concept features a matte gray exterior, a new rear diffuser, enhanced body styling and a sportier interior.
