2013 Infiniti JX production kicks off in Tennessee

Infiniti today celebrated the production launch of the all new 2013 JX 7-passenger crossover. The first unit of the 2013 Infiniti JX rolled off the production line in Tennessee in an Emerald Green exterior.

The celebration was attended by Nissan Americas Vice Chairman Bill Krueger, Vice President Manufacturing Smyrna – Decherd Susan Brennan, Infiniti Americas Vice President Ben Poore.

“We are extremely proud and honored to be building this world-class vehicle right here in Middle Tennessee,” said Brennan. “We expect the inspired design and quality craftsmanship built into every new Infiniti model that rolls off the Smyrna production lines will deliver inspired performance that is second to none.”

Refresher: Power for the 2013 Infiniti JX comes from a 3.5-liter DOHC V6 is mated to a sport-tuned Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The engine produces 265 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 248 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm. Fuel-economy is estimated at 17/23 mpg (city/highway) or 19 mpg combined. Prices start at 40,450 for the JX35 FWD model and $41,550 for the JX35 AWD model.
