Lotus to debut a convertible model in Geneva

When it comes to Lotus, all we’ve been hearing recently is that the company is looking for a partner to purchase the brand from parent Proton or the thought that CEO Dany Bahar won’t be able to make good on his 5-year business plan where Lotus will compete with the likes of Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche.

Hoping to put a stop to all those talks, Lotus announced today that it will debut a new car at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next month.

“Lotus’ philosophy has always been ‘less is more,'” Lotus said in a short statement. “Now, with a display of true fighting spirit, we’ll take this one step further in Geneva.”

The company said that ‘we’ll blow the roof off…’ which has us believing that it will be convertible model.
