Brand Spankin’ New Images: Mazda Takeri Concept

Mazda has just dropped a bunch of new real-world images of the Takeri Concept prior to the studies European debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next month.

The Takeri concept keeps Mazda’s new design language known as ‘Kodo’ (Soul of Motion) and gives us a strong hint as to what the next-generation Mazda6 will look like.

Under the hood, The Mazda Takeri Concept gets the brand’s new SKYACTIV-D diesel engine with i-stop idle-stop system and six-speed SKYACTIV-Drive automatic transmission. It also features a preview into Mazda i-ELOOP technology (short for Intelligent Energy Loop) – the company’s first regenerative braking system that can increase fuel-economy by 10 percent.
