Report: Bentley appoints David Hilton as new head of exterior design

Successful independent designer David Hilton has been brought in by Bentley Motors Ltd. as the Head of Exterior Design under Dirk van Braeckel, the Director of Design.

In the past, Hilton has worked as the Chief Designer at Ford Racing, among other work he did with the automaker in Germany and Detriot. He worked with Mazda briefly in Japan, and has also done designing for VW Autolatina in Brazil. More recently, Hilton has been running his own design firm for the past 12 years of the 20 total he has worked in the field.

With the announcement of David Hilton joining the automotive company, Dirk van Braeckel notes “With such vast experience and creative design talent, David will be a huge asset to the team at Crewe. His proven creative excellence will undoubtedly help us build on our current highly successful model line-up and enhance the appeal of Bentley cars to our customers world-wide.”
