Automobile tycoon Lee Iacocca’s original 1991 Ferrari F40 hits the auctions

The Ferrari F40 is by far and undoubtedly one of history’s greatest automobiles. Built to celebrate Ferrari’s 40th anniversary, the F40’s prominence doesn’t need much explanation. But unfortunately, the F40 is a car that only very few people get to own let alone experience. However, if you’re feeling like treating yourself to a nice gift, a 1991 F40 Berlinetta—formerly owned by famous entrepreneur and automobile executive Lee Iacocca—is up for bid at the world renown RM Auction service.

With less than 300 miles on the odometer, this specific F40 switched hands three times after originally being owned by Iacocca. Complete with the sale is the original MSO (Manufactuerer’s Statement of Origin) and a title that still has gone unregistered, which helps certify the F40’s authenticity.

This F40 is expected to fetch around $650,000-$750,000 and will be auctioned on January 20th.
