Report: New Honda Civic Type-R coming in 2013 with 200-hp

Earlier this week, Honda released the first details and images of the upcoming Honda CR-Z ICF, a performance version of the hybrid hatchback developed by the company’s in-house tuning firm Mugen. Showing its commitment to performance models, senior sources at Honda have confirmed that the company will indeed be doing a new version of the Civic Type-R come 2013.

Manabu Nishimae, president of Honda Motor Europe said that the company will deliver to customers asking for performance and sport models.

You can expect the next Honda Civic Type-R to produce closer to 200-hp from a naturally-aspirated gasoline engine along with a bunch of body modifications.
