Video: Guinness Book of World Records confirms Koenigsegg Agera R’s performance records

About two months ago, Koenigsegg claimed that its Agera R supercar was capable of setting some very strong performance results.

That’s not so surprising as the Koenigsegg delivers some strong output. Power for the Agera R comes from a 5.0L twin-turbo V8 producing 1,115-hp and a maximum torque of 885 lb-ft on E85 fuel. If you fill the tank with 95-octange gasoline instead of E85 biofuel, you’ll only get 940-hp and 811 lb-ft of torque. The Koenigsegg Agera R goes from 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 240 mph.

While it isn’t the fastest car in the world to go from 0 to 62 mph and doesn’t really break any top speed records, the Agera R does break the following records as confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records

The numbers are as follows:

  • 0-300 km/h (186 mph)= 14.53 sec
  • 0-200 mp/h (124 mph) = 17.68 sec
  • (186 mpg) 300-0 km/h = 6.66 sec
  • (124 mph) 200-0 mp/h = 7.28 sec
  • 0-300-0 km/h (186 mph)= 21.19 sec
  • 0-200-0 mp/h (124 mph) = 24.96 sec
