Porsche to open new Experience Center in Los Angeles

Porsche Cars North America announced this week that they will be opening the second location of its Porsche Experience Centers in the U.S. The center will be built on 51-acres in Carson, California, about 10 minutes from LAX.

This site will be the fifth of its kind in the world and will feature a road handling course that simulates all different weather and terrain conditions and educational courses for all skill levels. A program for kids is also available for the up and coming enthusiast.

“Helping enthusiasts feel and connect with their vehicle’s full potential through intelligent engineering has always been a part of the Porsche philosophy,” said Detlev von Platen, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America. “Now, we are excited to turn dreams into reality for all driving enthusiasts by creating a safe, exhilarating environment for experiencing the pleasure of being in the driver’s seat.”

Porsche is aiming to break ground on the project in Spring of 2012.
