2012 Subaru XV Crosstrek will be the name of the XV when it comes stateside
At the 2011 LA Auto Show, following the reveal of the Subaru BRZ Concept STI, the brand revealed some more details on its upcoming crossover for the U.S. market – the XV.
The company confirmed that when the XV comes to the stateside, it will carry the XV Crosstrek nameplate. The model will replace the Impreza Outback and will sit below the Forester in Subaru’s American lineup.

In the United States, the Subaru XV Crosstrek will be powered by a 2.0L boxer flat-four.
Sales of the model will start in the U.S. in 2012.
