2011 LA: 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee stings with black exterior

High-performance yellow insects are Dodge’s theme at this year’s LA Auto Show. Along with Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket the brand is showing the Charger SRT8 Super Bee. The Dodge Super Bee was first introduced in 1968 as a member of Dodge’s Scat Pack performance group and is now back to cater to enthusiasts at a fairly affordable price.

The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee is available in a Stinger Yellow or Pitch Black exterior with special Super Bee logos on the outside and inside. Like the Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket, the Charger SRT8 Super Bee also gets 20 x 9-inch, 5-spoke cast-aluminum wheels with black painted pockets.

Power also comes from the  392-cubic inch 6.4 liter HEMI V8 making 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.

Dodge says that a limited number of units will be made with the first units arriving at dealerships in the first quarter of 2012.
