Audi’s four-door coupe CLS-fighter, the A7, has been making quite the impression throughout the world of automobile journalists. However, we were surprised that Audi had fitted the base A7 with their supercharged 3.0L V6 rather than a more powerful engine. But before we could continue to be critical, Audi has just unveiled its latest iteration of the A7 for the North American market here at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show to up its ante: the S7.

Much like the other S-Models such as the S6 and the S8, the S7 comes with Audi’s new 4.0L TFSI twin-turbocharged V8. And like the S6, that means the S7 will also produce 420hp and 405 lb-ft of torque. The result is a 0-60 time of 4.9 seconds and a top speed limited to 155 mph.
