Hybrid Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept to change up the station wagon game
Besides showing the new Subaru BRZ rear-wheel-drive sports coupe, the Japanese automaker will unveil its new global brand statement called ‘Confidence in Motion.’
The new Confidence in Motion theme will be portrayed through a new concept car called Subaru Advanced Tourer. The concept is being developed as a C-segment class car for a new-generation sports wagon. Subaru says that the model features ‘an innovative exterior design’ with the utility that you’ve come to expect from station wagons.
Power comes from a 1.6 liter turbo Horizontally-Opposed Subaru Boxer engine mated to the company’s original hybrid system and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD) technology. Subaru says that the Advanced Tourer Concept also has an EV model, which allows zero-emissions AWD drives at low-speeds.
