GM to recall more than 38,000 Pontiac G8 models
General Motors is recalling more than 38,000 Pontiac G8 sedan in a move to reprogram airbag modules for the front passenger seats.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Pontiac G8’s airbag modules for models built for the 2008 and 2009 model years may not be in compliance with federal standards for head injury protection of some passengers.
The recall consists of 38,444 G8 models that were built in Australia and imported to the stateside.
GM said that there have been no crashes, injuries or complaints related to the airbag issue.
