Feds off the hook in crashed Ferrari by FBI agent

The FBI agent that wrecked a $750,000 Ferrari that was seized in a drug raid is facing no penalty for the 1995 F50’s damage.

According to U.S. District Judge Avern Cohn, the government is given immunity for property being held by law enforcement and they can’t be sued.

While Motors Insurance thinks this is FBI agent Fred Kingston’s joyride gone wrong, and that the Ferrari was not even technically in custody, Judge Cohn felt otherwise.
