Disney launches new toys app for Apple iPad featuring Cars 2

Apple is slowly taking over the world with their iPad. And to prove that even more, Disney has just unveiled a new iPad application featuring Pixar’s latest film, Cars 2.

The new application is called AppMATes and features what Disney calls “Mobile Application Toys.” Featuring characters from the Cars 2 movie, each micro vehicle toy comes with a sensor. When placed on top of the iPad, the toy interacts with the iPad and another free app allowing the player to race, play games and equip its car with weapons or gadgets before a mission.

AppMATes will be available for purchase online and at Apple and Disney stores in October.
