BMW Alpina B6 Bi-Turbo Cabriolet previewed
BMW tuner Alpina has released a preview image of the new B6 Bi-Turbo Cabriolet, which is based on the new BMW 6-Series Convertible.
So far we know that Alpina has taken the 4.4 liter V8 in the base car and added its own twin-turbo system to pump out 500-hp at 5,500 rpm with a maximum torque of 516 lb-ft between 3,000 and 4,750 rpm. That will allow the Alpina B6 Bi-Turbo Cabriolet to go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 193 mph.
The Alpina B6 Bi-Turbo Cabriolet will not show up in Frankfurt this month, but is scheduled to debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next year.
