NICB list the Top 10 Most Stolen Vehicles for 2010

1994 Honda Accord

A new report is out by the National Insurance Crime Bureau. And in that report, it shows that American cars are making such a turnaround, that even the thieves are getting their hands on them. Well, I doubt that’s the reason of their study, but the NICB has just released their most up-to-date list for the top ten most stolen cars for the 2010 year.

According to the study, domestic cars are seeing an upward trend in likelihood to be stolen. For example, Ford takes up three places in the latest study while Dodge takes up two and Chevrolet one.

Leading the list however comes to no surprise. The 1994 Honda Accord is the first most stolen car for 2010, followed by the 1995 Honda Civic and the 1991 Toyota Camry in third.

  • 1994 Honda Accord
  • 1995 Honda Civic
  • 1991 Toyota Camry
  • 1999 Chevrolet Pickup (Full Size)
  • 1997 Ford F150 Series/Pickup
  • 2004 Dodge Ram
  • 2000 Dodge Caravan
  • 1994 Acura Integra
  • 2002 Ford Explorer
  • 1999 Ford Taurus

So if you own any of the cars listed on the list, we recommend that you take extra steps to make sure your car remains yours. Use common sense and keep your car locked at all times when it’s parked. If you have the money and the means, install an aftermarket anti-theft device or an immobilzer.
