In light of the recent outbreak of severe weather and tornadoes in the Midwest, singer and songwriter Sheryl Crow donated her 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190SL Roadster to be auctioned off at this year’s upcoming Gooding & Company auction following the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance car show.

Estimated to be valued in at somewhere in between $50,000 and $80,000, the car will be auctioned off to the highest bidder with all of the proceeds going to the Joplin Schools Recovery Fund.

This particular car was fully restored in 2005, including new brakes, suspension and black leather upholstery. It comes with the original matching hardtop and 1.9L inline-4 good with a manual cog swapper.

“After the tornado in Joplin, I was moved to help rebuild a city so close to where I grew up in Missouri. My hope is that the auction of my 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster will bring in funds to help rebuild the schools in the area,” said Crow in a press conference.
