If you live in the United States, then you know that General Motors has replaced the Chevrolet Cobalt with the new and refined Chevrolet Cruze. However, if you live in Argentina, than you’re just getting introduced to the new Chevrolet Cobalt Concept that made its debut at the 5th International Motor Show in Buenos Aires.

“The Cobalt is an important vehicle in our strategy to be a versatile model. Its configuration combines the everyday with trips over the weekend with family and luggage, always with great comfort, performance and efficiency in fuel consumption. It is a car that brings a number of differentials that certainly will attract a wide swath of consumers,” said Jaime Ardila, President of General Motors South America.

Well Ardila, the Cobalt was just a big disappointment to us and we’re very glad GM replaced it with the Cruze here on the stateside.

The Chevrolet Cobalt Concept debuts in sedan form in Argentina and is powered by a range of 1.3 to 1.8 liters diesel and gasoline engines, with manual or automatic transmission. The model seems to be based on the new Chevrolet Sonic.
