Rumor: Porsche Cajun to get two-door variant

Porsche Cayenne Turbo

So far we’ve heard a lot about the new upcoming Porsche Cajun compact crossover that will go into production at the company’s Leipzig plant in the Saxony region of Germany.

While the Porsche Cajun will be based on the Audi Q5, sources say that it will be hard to tell just how closely related the two models are based on exterior styling alone (obviously). On the inside, the Porsche Cajun will borrow styling from the Porsche Panamera and the Porsche Cayenne, both of which are also built at Leipzig.

New rumors suggest that Porsche is also working on a two-door version of the Cajun, which will compete with the likes of the Range Rover Evoque. We heard yesterday that Audi is also considering a two-door crossover known as the Q4.

The two-door Porsche Cajun is likely to get the Sport Chrono package that will have an aggressively tuned throttle and launch control.

Excited? So are we.
