BMW NA CEO: We are not bringing anymore 1-Series, we don’t like to push that car

Here is a little interesting excerpt from BMW of North America CEO Jim O’Donnell’s interview with Automotive News.

When asked if the “demand increasing for the small 1 series — and can you get more?” O’Donnell responded:

We are not bringing in any more 1 series. We do not like to push that car. We like to leave it as a pull. It is built at the same plants as the 3 series, and we’d rather have more 3 series. There is more demand for the 3 series at the moment.

Does that mean BMW will drop the 1-Series from the U.S. market? We’ve submitted the question to BMW Product Communications – so let’s see what they say.
