Report: Honda to launch ‘Fit Shuttle’ on June 16
Later this fall, Toyota will launch the Prius V, a 5-seater model that will deliver an estimated EPA fuel economy of 42/38 mpg (city/highway). Well, Japanese competitor Honda will react.
Reports coming out of Japan suggest the Honda will launch a new model called ‘ Fit Shuttle’ on June 16. The Honda Fit Shuttle is a new station-wagon-like variant of the standard Fit and that will be offered in both regular and hybrid versions, according to Japan’s Nikkei business daily reported.
Production of the Honda Fit Shuttle began at Suzuka factory in Mie Prefecture in early May and has been ramped up enough to support the June 16 release date.
Deliveries are expected to begin around July, the report said.
