For the 2011 model year, the BMW M3 received some upgrades including standard Auto Start / Stop technology that helped reduce the average fuel consumption and CO2 levels of the BMW M3 by up to 8 percent. Nice – but when it comes to a vehicle like the M3, we could care less about fuel-efficiency.

What the 2011 BMW M3 did get is something called the Competition Package, available for the coupe and sedan. The package lowers the suspension 10 mm, adds light 19-inch alloy wheels at the front and Y-spoke design at the rear. It also adds an electronic damper adjustment function EDC including Sport Mode, which is specifically made for the Competition Package.
