Scratch that: Mazda6 isn’t going anywhere

2011 Mazda6

In report from Japan’s Nikkan Kogyo newspaper, it was said that the Subaru Tribeca and the Mazda6 may soon get the ax.

While Subaru hasn’t confirmed anything about the Tribeca, Mazda on the other hand said it has no plans to stop offering the slow-selling Mazda6 sedan. The company said ‘there is no intention to discontinue’ the model, when asked by CARandDRIVER.

Nikkan said that the reason that Mazda might stop offering the sedan due to production issues. It is still possibl that the Mazda6 will no longer be built at the company’s Flat Rock, Michigan, facility that it shares with Ford. Whatever the case may be, the 6 isn’t going anywhere.
