2011 New York: Rivals watch out, 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 is one badass machine

Chrysler has just unveiled the latest iteration of the epic 300C SRT8 earlier today at the 2011 New York Auto Show.

As usual, it gets a 6.4L HEMI V8 good for 465hp and 465lb-ft of torque with a 5-speed automatic complete with paddle shifters. Capable of a 0-60 time of roughly 4 seconds and a top speed of 175, the new 300 SRT8 will definitely give the latest and greatest from Europe a run for the money.

Not to mention, the SRT8 can achieve a 12 second quarter mile. The SRT8 also features Adaptive Damping Suspension, or ADS, which adjusts the suspension accordingly for a comfortable and direct ride. It then gathers data from sensors that read steering angle, speed, brake torque, throttle position and g-forces and automatically adjusts.

The last SRT8 was definitely a car worthy of a look if one wanted near BMW M5 performance with the same in practicality and similar in luxury, for nearly a quarter less than the M5 with the spirit of a classic American muscle car. This latest version will prove no different and after finally seeing that Detroit can finally make some quality cars, this 300 SRT8 will be something worth drooling over NQA.
