Reports coming out of Coventry, England suggest that Jaguar is developing an SUV that could hit dealerships in four years. The Jaguar SUV will pitches at the upper-end of the market and will compete with the likes of the Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz ML and the Audi Q7.
Sources say that the Jaguar SUV is currently at the full-size clay-model stage; however design is far from being 100 percent finalized.
The model will feature a lightweight aluminum structure and will share some components with Range Rovers. Either way, Jaguar is expected to add its own distinctive character and road behavior to the new SUV model. That means the Jaguar SUV will be more focused for everyday use rather than an off-roading beast.
