Shelby Cobra VS Ferrari 458 Italia $400,000 Race

If you were/are a wealthy individual would you rather spend your money on a modern Italian supercar or a classic American muscle car? If you can’t decide, these two men are here to help you out.

Basically, two friends (Tom Goldstein and Dan Bilzeria) decided to go shopping on the opposite ends of the spectrum – one purchased a Ferrari 458 Italia, while the other purchased a 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 – and then they decided to hit up the drag strip for the ultimate face-to-face challenge.

To make things interesting, both men placed a nice Gentleman’s Bet – meaning the winner of the quarter-mile trip walked away with an additional $400,000.
