Rumor: BMW M to debut lightweight concept at 2011 Tokyo Motor Show

We love rumors, even if they don’t hold to be true, they build some sort of excitement on a boring day of new. According to the infamous BMW source Scott27, BMW will show up to the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show in December with a new BMW M Concept that will showcase lightweight technology.
The idea coincides with a recent statement made by BMW boss Dr. Kay Segler in an interview for BMWBLOG:
“We are currently looking into something called ‘bespoke idea’, where we feature maybe a material technology. I cannot tell you more; let’s see where we end with it. In case this gets interesting, we might see this particular car within the next 12 months. Not to make a business case here, but just to tell that you can do some new things with materials.”
If it holds to be true, we believe that the new BMW M lightweight concept will show how future BMW vehicles can progress in terms of performance by shedding some pounds.
