Toyota: Lexus to get better styling, more hybrids and better service

Yesterday Akio Toyoda unveiled the ‘Toyota Global Vision’ corporate outline for the future. Among many things, Toyoda said that Toyota will add 10 hybrids by 2015 and will also develop plug-in hybrids, electric-cars and fuel-cell vehicles.

But what about Lexus? Battered by recalls, Toyota is hoping to once again restore the prestigious image with a renewed focus on the luxury brand.

Toyota said that Lexus will be positioned as a ‘global premium brand’ the company said. It will (FINALLY) get better styling, more hybrids and better service.

Lexus’ sales have fallen 9 percent this year, to 26,674 in the United States.
