Toyota Motor Corporation today unveiled its ‘Toyota Global Vision’ corporate outline for the future, which will serve as the direction to Toyota employees around the world and will also to convey such direction to customers and to the public at large.
“Toyota will lead the way to the future of mobility, enriching lives around the world with the safest and most responsible ways of moving people,” Toyota said in a statement. “Through our commitment to quality, constant innovation and respect for the planet, we aim to exceed expectations and be rewarded with a smile. We will meet challenging goals by engaging the talent and passion of people, who believe there is always a better way.”
According to a source, Toyota plans on a minimum operating profit of 1 trillion yen ($12.1 billion) and a profit margin of 5 percent in two to three years as part of its business strategy. It should be noted that the figures are not a strict financial target but an estimate of what the company should be capable of while it cuts costs and beefs up its operations.
