The Audi A3 Concept was one of the many head-turners at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Well, we have some good news for you – a production version of the Audi A3 Concept sedan will be sold in the United States.
As for the bad news, U.S. prospects for the Q3 compact crossover are uncertain. Peter Schwarzenbauer, Audi AG board member for sales and marketing, said that dealers urged Audi to add the Q3 to the U.S. lineup after seeing it last month at the NADA convention in San Francisco.
Schwarzenbauer said that Audi has not decided to green-light the Q3 for the United States – even if it does it won’t arrive for another 12 to 15 months. The Q3 is scheduled to go on sale in Europe later this year. He said that the A3 sedan, based on the next-generation A3 hatch, is a far more likely candidate for the stateside.
