At the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, Maserati unveiled the Gran Cabrio Sport. The company’s CEO, Harald Wester, said that the Italian supercar maker had a strong 2010 with a sales increase of 20 percent. More than 2,000 Maserati vehicles were sold.
Wester said that he expects the momentum to remain strong through 2011 when Maserati expands into new markets including Russia and Japan. Maserati is currently sold in 64 markets globally.
Wester also said that the Maserati SUV, which we’ve been hearing about for a while, is in the development phase.
“The future SUV will take Maserati to areas of the automobile market that will significantly expand our reach,” he said.
