New Jeep Liberty coming in 2012, Dodge Nitro future uncertain
Most of Jeep’s lineup has been refreshed/redesigned for the 2011 model year. Surprisingly enough, the only one that hasn’t gone under changes is the Jeep Liberty, the third best-selling model for the brand. According to a recently Securities and Exchange Commission filing by Chrysler, the new Liberty will arrive in 2012.
The future of the Dodge Nitro remains uncertain and a new model is still under consideration. The current model will likely be discontinued for the 2011 model year.
Other interesting information from the filing says that Chrysler has plans to offer start-stop technology in 90% of its North American offerings by 2017.
